Notim Yachad – the opportunity to grow through action and strength.
Youth who drop out of the educational system often fall into a vortex of risk and loss of self-confidence. The Notim Yachad Program, in partnership with JNF-KKL, is a unique framework to empower these youth, who have been expelled from every other framework, by identifying their strengths and directing them toward rewarding employment in various fields, accompanied by mentors and advisors. Through creating empowerment, the program allows for social mobility.
Each one – in their own way
Through the close support of mentors, advisors and specially designed tools, participants learn to identify the strengths and resources at their disposal, and overcome the obstacles which held them back in their lives so far, each according to his needs and abilities. The program counselors, guided by psychologists, determine personal goals and objectives for each youth, so that participants can experience a feeling of satisfaction and success while realizing their set goals.
Success breeds success
Notim Yachad enables the youth to choose fields that interest them, such as carpentry or hair styling, and provides them with professional training courses, ongoing mentoring, a stipend, meals, bonding activities, transportation to the place of training and all the necessary study materials.
The experience of success and prosperity which the youth feel in the program enables them to feel success and prosperity in other areas in their life as well, and helps them distance themselves from risky behaviors, complete their obligatory education and later on integrate into society as productive adults.
The program is currently operating in five locations: Kiryat Arba, Har Hevron Regional Council, Gush Etzion Regional Council, Beit Shemesh and Mateh Yehuda, and will expand in the future to additional local authorities throughout Israel.
